Dilution Theory
A serial dilution is a stepwise dilution of a substance in solution. Usually, the dilution factor ($DF$) is constant at each step. This geometry allows for the rapid generation of an expansive concentration range (logarithmic scale), essential for determining titer, IC50 values, or constructing standard curves.
